Ljosland is a village with about 29 inhabitants in Åseral municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is known for Ljosland ski center and Ljosland mountain lodge. The village also has its own chapel built in 1959, and a cemetery built in 1892. The village is located at the head of Lake Ljoslands, between the mouth of the rivers Monnsåna and Ljosåna. The latter gave its name to the village. Both rivers are currently greatly reduced due to damming of overlying water. Ljosland has about 520 holiday homes, mainly owned by people from the coast between Arendal and Stavanger. The "cabin belt" in Ljosland embraces 300 meters of altitude and the hiking terrain is at altitudes around 700 to 1000 meters above sea level. westwards towards the watershed at the southern end of Langfjella.
